a government-funded, peer-to-peer networking programme for SME leaders.

In our official capacity with the Mayor of London and the London Business Hub, Thrive can offer free business coaching for the directors of SMEs worth over £5,000. No catch. It's part of an initiative called Peer Networks, designed to support small companies in London to grow back after the COVID pandemic.


The programme covers important areas like people management and motivation, improving technology and managing finances. It’s a mixture of group coaching (with other SME leaders) and 1-2-1 coaching. The programme is delivered by experienced coaches and business experts and is available for a limited period only.

Guest speakers

During the programme you will hear from guest speakers providing valuable insights into SME business growth. 
There will be two guest speakers during the seven week programme:
  • Yanto Barker - Former professional racing cyclist and CEO/founder of Le Col sportswear company. Le Col is one of the most successful UK sportswear brands to be launched in the last 20 years. Yanto has overseen a hugely successful direct-to-consumer sales strategy via it’s own website, helping grow a business that’s now valued at >£10 Million. See: 
  • Chris Samuel - Marketing and business development expert with over twenty year’s experience in the food and drink industry. Chris has overseen the launch of several highly successful brands in the food market, including Green & Black’s, Dorset Cereals and Quorn. Chris brings expertise in launching organic and natural food products in international markets. See:

Eligibility criteria

Delivered through a series of high impact group sessions led by a Thrive facilitator:The programme is open to any SME business that has:
  • 6 fortnightly group sessions over 18 weeks
  • Interactive action learning
  • Guest speakers
  • Flexible topic selection
  • One-to-one support (> 3 ½ hours)
  • Operated for at least one year
  • At least two employees
  • A turnover of at least £100,000
  • An aspiration to improve
