Emotional intelligence (EI) refers to the emotional and social skills we use to negotiate our way through life. Our EI determines how well we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships and cope with pressure and adversity.
The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0™) is the first and one of the most advanced EI assessment tools in the world. We offer EQ-i profiling and coaching that can enhance emotional intelligence for higher performance at work and more fulfilment in life.

EI predicts success
It’s now well established that EI is a powerful predictor of personal and professional success. How do we know? Because EI can be measured using self-assessment questionnaires that produce a score known as an Emotional Quotient (EQ). Such measures allow comparisons to be made between different groups of people, including groups with different levels of performance. Comparative studies show that an amazing 27 – 45% of job success is attributable to EQ1. In fact, EQ has proven to be a far better predictor of success than IQ. EQ is particularly important for leaders. Some authors have argued that up to 90% of success in a senior leaderhsip position is due to emotional intelligence2.
EI can be developed
Interestingly, IQ is set and peaks around 17 years of age whereas EQ is not and rises steadily with age. Furthermore, EQ can be enhanced with knowledge, greater self-awareness and personal development. And greater EI can have a strong positive impact on competencies such as leadership, team working, communication and managing pressure, change and adversity. That’s what our coaching is all about.
The Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0 (EQ-i 2.0™)
This provides a measure of EQ based on five elements: Self-Perception, Self-Expression, Interpersonal, Decision Making and Stress Management. You can download extracts from a sample report here.
Our clients complete the EQ-i 2.0™ prior to coaching and then go through the report with a Certified EQ-i 2.0™ Coach who can explain the results and highlight opportunities to develop EI skills even further. Working on targeted areas can produce sustainable improvements in EI.
For a comprehensive programme we recommend an introductory seminar before coaching starts so that clients have an opportunity to meet their coach, understand the process and start to build an understanding of EI.>>>
Our EI programmes
We offer several EI development programmes. In each one participants complete an EQ-i 2.0™, followed by:
- Attendance at a 1-2 day workshop to explore scores and develop skills
- Completion of a one-to-one coaching session to feedback scores and develop a personal development plan
- Up to six one-to-one coaching sessions to understand scores and coach people through the process of strengthening EI skills in real-life scenarios
